Dear Michelle,

Thanks for discussing my Twop-500 of the Twop-1000 list and balancing somewhat your view on what I am trying to do. Since I work so much with twitter data I see all the different ways Twitter is used, which makes it such a fascinating phenomenon. It ranges from companies/individuals using agressive and annoying sales tactics to groups of people engaging in group chat for all to see.
I want to point out that when I started Twopcharts, I did not do it to make it a competition for the people who are in it. I did it because I wanted to be able to find interesting tweeps to follow and engage with. Therefore I wanted to be able to see them easily and a lot of them, which is why I decided to put 1000 on one screen. I think the Twopcharts are probably more for the people who are not in the list, so they can kickstart their Twitter life.
Having said that, I know that many tweeps who are in the list are also feeling a little bit competitive and prefer a higher spot to a lower spot. As we all know, every ranking methodology has weaknesses, as I readily admitted with the Twopchart, and this is why I started to look at the data from more angles. One of them, which I have not shown yet, is social interaction between Tweeps, which is what many hardcore tweeters believe is the essential raison d'etre for Twitter. I plan to make all this data easier accessible and searchable in the near future to give you all a better experience, which is why we are doing it.
I hope you see that I do have one or two braincells after all...
